TEKNOTEL CHROME HOUSEWARES as an industrial partner has provided a field for testing Eco Lean methodology, developed within international project “ Low Cost Production Process Improvement for Sustainable Resource Use”. The main objective was to reduce resources (e.g. energy), material consumption and decrease of the environmental impact of production processes through a low-cost Eco Lean approach. Thereby, the Eco Lean approach is understood as a synergy between lean manufacturing and environmental approaches that bases on their convergence. In this context, project sought to strengthen both the economic as well as ecological performance of the manufacturing industry. For the company it was great opportunity to gain some new experiences, because it was the first international research project for the company. Main low-cost improvements implemented during testing phase: 
 -After Assembly-Welding process, metal surpluses are cut off. These metal scraps cannot be use at another process and these scraps are usual consequences of production. This metal scrap contributes both to higher consumption of metal (and material costs) as well as to larger amount of metal scrap transferred to recycling company. Based on the process observation and interviews with operators, simply and quick solutions were proposed. Metal wires of each product started to be cut a few millimeters shorter than previously without any negative effect on the products quality. 
 -Via implementation of Production Control Cards the quantity of defected products and production times are now monitored on CNC bending machines. It allows to analyse main sources of metal scrap in this area. 
 -Some of the problems which occurs in production plant are solved now via Gemba Walks.
